Well, it's May and there is a buzz in the hallways!- We have only four weeks to wrap up the year and the kids are ready for summer! (I'm pretty sure the teachers are too!) I can't believe how fast this year has gone by.  We have four weeks and still so much more to learn.  I was fortunate to have a fabulous student teacher in my class for the past seven weeks.  She will be leaving this week, and I am already missing her!- Good Luck Miss Young! She's a natural!-
As for my summer to come; on the list for my "short" summer: as much family time as possible, teaching summer school, celebrating my 7th anniversary, attending the CAMT- Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching, and preparing myself to reenter into the world of Fourth Grade! Yes, I will be teaching fourth grade math and science this upcoming school year.  I am super excited and look forward to learning and sharing all things new in fourth grade.  I've started my blog searches for fourth grade blogs....if you have any favs, please pass the word, it's been ten years since I taught a third/fourth grade split class (and that was for one year!)  Times have changed, and so have the skills!
